Many domains

Running multiple custom domains

Agencies, holding companies and anyone with regional brands need more than one short domain in a single account. Allowances range from one to a hundred, and the price per domain varies by a factor of fifty. This entry ranks the tools on exactly that.

Answer in brief. Short.io is the clear choice for many domains: five on the free plan, ten on Pro at $18 a month and fifty on Team at $48. Dub allows three free and a hundred on Business at $81 a month. ReSlug allows ten on Pro at $9 a month, the lowest price for a two-digit allowance. Bitly and T.LY's low tiers allow one or none.

Price per domain

Divide the yearly price by the allowance and the field separates quickly. Short.io Team is $576 a year for fifty domains, under twelve dollars per domain. Dub Business is $972 a year for a hundred, under ten dollars per domain, though you are also paying for conversion tracking and role-based access you may not need. ReSlug Pro is $79 a year for ten, under eight dollars per domain, the cheapest two-digit allowance here. Rebrandly Growth is $2,148 a year for ten domains, over two hundred dollars each. Bitly Growth is $348 for one.

For agencies

An agency usually wants each client's links on that client's domain, with analytics the client can see. Short.io Team adds unlimited users to its fifty domains, which fits the model. Dub Business adds ten users and role-based access. ReSlug has no team seats yet, so ten domains on Pro suits a solo consultant more than a team. Whatever you choose, register or control each client domain in the client's name, not yours; when the engagement ends the links should leave with them.

For regional and multi-brand companies

A company with brands or country sites often wants a short domain per brand and routing by country within each. Here the domain count matters less than the routing features. ReSlug Pro routes by country and device on every link with ten domains. Short.io offers geo targeting from Pro. Dub offers geo and device targeting on Pro. Compare the routing rules as closely as the allowance; the hub's marketing ranking covers them.
